Here you will find a guide and short video showing how you can set up our self-adhesive wallpaper wall decorations on a textured background such as the sawdust wallpaper.
It is normally not recommended to install on textured surfaces, as air bubbles will form under the wallpaper, and the self-adhesive surface will therefore not adhere properly to the substrate. However, there are differences in textured wallpaper. Sometimes our wall decorations can be put up on these without any problems if it is a light texture without deep holes, and other times it can be done by adding some extra wallpaper glue to the back of the decorations.
It is almost the same procedure as when you have to re-install one of our wall decorations in a new place.
- The wall decorations are set up as usual. The included tack packs can be used to try different suspensions. When you have found the expression that suits your style and your room, the back is removed and the decoration is attached to the wall as a wall sticker.
- Mix the wallpaper glue. This can be purchased from Tonka Papers.
- Spread the thick paste evenly on the back.
- The decoration is stuck to the desired place and any air bubbles are removed by pressing the decoration firmly from the center towards the edges.
- Excess glue is washed off with a wet cloth.
- All the decorations are checked at the end and pressed firmly at the edges if they have come off the wall.
